A free trade zone as a part of the Association Agreement of Ukraine with the European Union

Abstract

On the basis on the analysis of the previously published draft Association Agreement the author investigates the principles of the future free trade zone between Ukraine and EU. In particular, it was analyzed WTO’s demands regarding free trading zones and the provisions of the EU statutory documents which regulate common trade policy. Special attention is stressed upon the parts of association agreements devoted to the necessity of Ukrainian legislation harmonization.
