The legal interpretation activities of the Court of the European Union

Abstract

The article investigates forms and methods of the interpretation of the EU law by the Court of the European Union. Such types of the EU law interpretation by the Court of the European Union as literal, historical, contextual, systematic and teleological have been considered and analysed. Special attention is paid to the investigation of the EU Court teleological interpretation as the one which has wide application in the practice of interpretation by the Court of the European Union. The principles of interpretation used by the EU Court in the process of its activity have been investigated.
