The UN’s activity to combat contemporary forms of slavery

Abstract

The article is dedicated to the research of the UN activities in the sphere of combating contemporary forms of slavery. The history of formation and recent developments of international legal regulation of combating human trafficking are being analyzed. The special focus is made on the further updating of UN universal mechanisms of the trafficking in human beings prevention.
