The need of new eurointegrational strategy for Ukraine: motives and strategic objectives to enter the new phase of relations with EU

Abstract

After identification of the basic framework for a new enhanced agreement on as- sociation, which does not include membership perspective, Ukraine faces the task of forming a new strategy, taking into account the policy without prospects of join- ing the EU in the medium term. The article emphasizes the need to establish a new strategy for European integration of Ukraine with two separate stages: the strategy of acquiring official candidate status and a separate strategy for acquiring mem- bership.
