Iranian and Afghan issues impact on the Middle East geopolitics

Abstract

The article is devoted to the present day geopolitical environment in the region of Middle East and Central Asia. The vast region called «the arc of in- stability» is in the center of the strategic approaches of the most prominent actors of the modern international relations — USA, Russia, China and the EU as well. The Iran and Afghanistan problems define geopolitical situations in the Central Asia and Southern Caucasus.
