UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS AS PART OF CUSTOMARY INTERNATIONAL LAW

The article describes the process of transformation of the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights into a part of general customary international law. It deals with state practice, jurisprudence of the International Court of Justice and the relevant doctrine. The authors emphasize the importance of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights for the further development of the international human rights law.
