The freedom of movement of persons as one of the fundamental rights of citizens of the European Union

The article is devoted to the legal regulation of free movement of persons within the European Union. The article researches the provisions of the establishing treaties, the EU secondary legislation, the judicial practice referring the EU’s citizenship and free movement of persons. It also stipulates that the provisions concerning the free movement of persons are covering both categories of EU member-states citizens who are involved in economic activity and all the EU citizens.
