The article focuses on main approaches toward the problem of practical implementation along with state enforcement in USA of the judgments, advisory opinions and orders of the International Court of Justice in the cases concerning the violations of the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations of 1963. In this context the main objectives of the aforesaid piece are to work out some universal attitudes to the aforesaid issue which allows Ukrainian consuls to be more effective providing consular assistance to our citizens abroad using the arsenal of legal instruments envisaged by the Optional Protocol concerning the Compulsory Settlement of Disputes, which accompanies the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations.
