Abstract

Abstract. Image of a country at the global level is a component of its national power. Economic
situation and processes in the country are one of the key factors of its formation. Important
factors at the macro-, meso-, and microeconomic levels include type of economic model in
a country, its development level, size of economy, economic growth trends, foreign economic
policy, common interests with the main economic and political centers of the world, well-known
corporate brands, business-culture, mass-culture industry, high-tech sector. Special attention is
paid to demonstration of their effect in case of the U.S., the EU and China. Same factors may
have mixed effects under various conditions and interact so that a factor may amplify or alter
the effect of another one.
