The role of the UN in addressing gender issues of modernity

Abstract

This article is dedicated to the the activities of the UN in ensuring the equality of rights and freedoms of women and men. Examined the policies and legal framework of the UN for the solution of gender problems. Described the mechanisms and instruments for the implementation of UN gender policy.
