The UN role in shaping the global information society

Abstract

The United Nations Organization is an important international body which determines the political appearance of global information society. Within the UN
framework, basic principles and purposes of international cooperation are formed,
in particular within the context of global information society and legal-political
regime of using information and communication technologies.
