The legal basis for Ukraine's participation in the international fight against piracy

Abstract

The article is dedicated to the research of the UN activities to combat the modern piracy. The history of formation and recent developments of international legal regulation of combating piracy are being analyzed. The special focus is made on the legal background for Ukraine’s activities in the international efforts of piracy prevention.
