ЗАПАДНОРУСИЗМ НА ТЕРРИТОРИИ РЕЧИ ПОСПОЛИТОЙ

Abstract

The less known aspects of activity of zapadnorusizm stalwarts, ethnic Polish
Catholics, on Polish territory and the North-Western region of the Russian empire are
highlighted, among those. As zapadnorusizm ideology is tightly tied with Orthodox and
pro-Russian desires of North-Western region populace, the participation of Polish in-
telligentsia in this politic and ideological move is kept almost untouched in Polish, Russ-
ian, Ukrainian or Belorussian sources. It is so either because of insufficient studies
about this nuances (characteristically for the domestic sources) or of ideological causes
(characteristically for Polish sources)
