Abstract

Abstract. The article considers the main problems of cooperation between Ukraine and EU
in sphere of common security and defense policy and gives the reasons to continue the integration
of Ukraine into EU for cultivation the common security policy.
The main idea of common security and defense policy is the confirmation of peace, consolidation
of international security as to the principles of the Charter of the United Nations, encouragement
of international collaboration, widening and strengthening of democracy, rule of
law, respect to the human rights and fundamental freedoms.
Historical development of Europe confirms, that the security on the continent is the main
mission of integration process.
This sphere of collaboration becomes more institutional and more interesting for Ukraine.
Because of aggressive policy of Russian Federation and European vector of Ukrainian foreign
policy the cooperation between Ukraine and EU in sphere of common security and defense
policy becomes more relevant today.
Investigation of this problem demands more deeper study for resulting integration of Ukraine
into EU and for strengthening the borders, confirmation the principle of peace and stability in
Europe.

Agency (EDA), the European Union Military Staff (EUMS), the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement.
