OSCE AS THE PLATFORM FOR POLITICAL DIALOGUE ON EUROPEAN SECURITY

Abstract

Abstract. Under the circumstances of the present situation which is not stable enough in the
field of security in Europe the research is considered to be appropriate about OSCE’s role as a
platform for political dialogue on European security. Long-term history of this organization witnessed
its considerable contribution in the process of setting-up and development of European
security system. Having gone through the difficult periods of «cold war», 1990th , the first years
of XXI century, the Organization of security and cooperation in Europe has shown the perseverance
from the principles and aims proving its strategic importance.
Today, being under the circumstances of controversial situation in the field of security, OSCE
authority tries to take all possible constructive measures and practical actions for regulating the
situation and setting strategic balance between European countries. It is preferably achieved
with the help of political instruments which are adjusted to modern demands.
In the whole, the situation in security field along Europe nowadays is still tense. It occurs
not only with aggressive actions of Russia but with the range of destructive inner elements in Europe
which considerably diminish the level of protection for European countries. So, the role of
OSCE as a platform for political dialogue on European security should be increased at the expense
of implementing new mechanisms, approaches, instruments and ways of solving home
problems and strengthening the architecture of European security.
The article is about the research and grounding OSCE status as a platform for political dialogue
on European security.
