Abstract

Abstract. In the article are listed main types of national systems of higher education with the
use modern state of global education market. Are designated countries as members of the Atlantic
model of higher education and was made an analysis of its main features and characteristics.
Thoroughly investigated continental and hybrid models of higher school of foreign
countries and formed their positive and negative sides. In this research described a classification
by which we determined types of national higher education systems in view modern globalization
process.
Designated main motivations which help to increase exports of educational services by higher
education institutions in different countries. Described basic strategies of internationalization
of higher education institutions in foreign countries. Was made analysis of strategy of the international
partnership, strategy of attracting foreign qualified personnel, strategies aimed to
generate income, empowerment strategy in receiving education.
Authors suggested ways of improving the functioning of higher education institutions in
Ukraine in view international experience.
