Abstract

Abstract. The European Union for almost half a century of history of its formation and development
interacted with the states of different levels of economic, social and political development.
The greatest difficulties in the implementation of the principle of mutual benefit were
in relations between European countries and third world countries, as reflected in the terms of
the Lomé Conventions and the Cotonou Agreement. Integration into the EU Eastern European

countries of Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic showed significantly better results
on the mutual benefit than in the EU and third countries. Today the European Union is a
good example of the integration of association. Difficulties in implementing the principle of mutual
benefit arising in the process of cooperation between the EU and third countries, can be
solved by mutual efforts of the two sides.
