Abstract

Abstract. The article is devoted to highlighting the role and place of competition policy in
the regulation of international integration processes. Main trends on spreading of competition
rules in the legal orders of third countries, including Ukraine, were analyzed on the example of
the European Union. Article dedicates trends of the increasing role of international organizations
in regulating the relations of competition. Among them, the author suggested a trend to
spread of antitrust policy in a decentralized and international level, the tendency to strengthen
national rules on cartels, direction input to legislative restrictions on the states (governments)
in the provision of benefits that inherently limit state activity, tendency to start the process of consolidation
of all institutional mechanisms for the protection of competition. The research is based
on an analysis of the legal acts (international documents and acts of EU law), as well as practices
of EU Court and the European Court for Human Rights.
