Abstract

Abstract. The current state of the European security policy and perspectives of eurointegration
of Ukraine are explored under the conditions of critical situation in the system of European
and world security, as well as crisis of the common European space. Reformation of the
system of international relations has led to intense deterioration of instability and fragility of the
world order. We face destruction of the set influential mechanisms of interdependence and unions
of states; the system of sovereignty comes loose, the gap between the decision makers of the international
life and other not that influential subjects of the international law is deepening. The
insecurity in Europe is caused by political instability and unforeseen developments, deepening
stratification of states with different living standards, environmental disasters, ethnic conflicts,
terrorism, irregular migration processes, globalization of criminal networks and external threats.
Key words: EU, threats, instability, security system, Common European foreign and security
