Abstract

Abstract. The most general objective of this paper is investigating the conceptual and practical
dimensions of modern geopolitical studies in the context of modern world evolution trends.
The rapid growth of the role of geographical factors, changes in the political and cultural boundaries,
updated range of strategic threats, with a clear correlation to zonal habitats direct the efforts
of analysts and political functionaries to solve complex international problems, which are
the main components of the policy and geography. From positions of complex analytical approach
the potential of geopolitics in the transforming process of world security space is examined.
Gradual loss of the U.S. role of monopoly leader of the international community and related
to this reorganization of geopolitical space as well as the global strategic transformation process
has put on agenda the question of review by experts the role of theoretical and practical electivity
of geopolitical thinking in a modern globalized world. The result of this process was significant
change in different international actorʼs foreign policy, which coincided with the
beginning of the 21 century.
The article analyzes new directions in the formation of practical dimensions of international
geopolitical strategies. This is based on maintaining global features of the strategic dialogue of
the actors of world politics in the context of globalization the field of international security interactions,
maintaining U.S. leadership with greater reliance on old and new allies, as well as
international institutions. However, the practice of using them proves the need to bring greater
flexibility in international relations within the international community that will continue to encourage
the involvement of situational possibilities of alternative approaches influence on the
development of the modern international system.
