Abstract

Abstract. As one of the phenomena of globalization megacities still feel the impact of global
political, economic and international processes. The problems that impede the development of
modern cities include lack of rigor in the conceptualization of the status of the most important
cities in the world and the variety used by scientists research for external data field interactions
cities that have a significant impact on the economic, political and international spheres of
human existence. The aim of the article is to identify specific methodological requirements to develop
and monitor the implementation of key aspects of the formation of external spaces of modern
cities. The main results of the study show that in today’s world of globalization becomes
more apparent significant strengthening of economic and political significance of global cities,
the rapid increase of their role in the world economy and international relations. Therefore, this
article draws attention to the development of mechanisms for managing such global cities, as
evidenced by the recent analysis of the relevant sectors of national scientific research is not sufficiently
reflected in the theoretical development, which at this stage are updated issues that are
deployed in the article. Extra large modern city, which concentrates financial potential and social
innovation with powerful competitive advantage even before some states. Thus, the metropolis
of world importance, not only to become largely self-contained building blocks of the
global market, but also increasingly become a sort of role «remotes government» global economy.
