Abstract

Abstract. The modernization of the regional development governing bodies requires the scientific
approach to the government base in this sphere. The modern theoretical foundation of
the strong and progressive regional development in EU (hereafter the countries of European
Union will be considered as those that achieved the highest progress in the regional development
policy implementation) is driven by well-developed legal, adoptive and institutionary base as
well as foundational scientific researches for all the significant elements of the regional politics
that effectively combine common European regularities with the national aspects of the regional
development. The improvement of the theoretical base in the regional development
government on the certain stage resulted in the development and currently in the confirmation
of the common regional policy.
