Abstract

Abstract. Taking into account modern conditions of the international economic relations,
which are characterized by constant transformations in the global market, the threat of global
recession, active use of non-tariff protectionist measures exacerbates the situation in the world.
Non-tariff regulation has been one of the main tools of regulation of international trade. Considering
the global trend to reduce the impact of tariff protectionist measures, countries are increasingly
resorting to non-tariff regulations of commerce. This situation makes it necessary to
investigate the issue further. In this paper we have investigated methods of non-tariff regulation
of international trade and their implications for the economy.
Key words: non-tariff measures, the international trade, GATT, WTO.
