Abstract

Abstract. In a globalizing world economy for enterprises and organizations of Ukraine raises
important task of the transition as soon as possible to work effectively in market conditions.
This requires significant efforts to improve economic efficiency, security and economic competitiveness,
etc. However, the new economic conditions also require business leaders to seek new
ways of assessing the efficiency of enterprises. The importance of solving this problem is confirmed
by the fact that during the years of independence, Ukraine, which had a significant resource,
industrial, intellectual and technological potential, failed to overcome the crisis in the
economy of the country and could not even reach the economic performance that have been
achieved in Ukraine over the past decade the twentieth century.
To achieve this goal on the basis of the state statistical reporting forms the author carried out
a statistical study of some performance indicators sectors of the economy of Ukraine for the period
of 2000-2012 years.
Conducted in the analysis showed that in modern conditions earnings is not the main indicator
of performance and do not become the target of enterprises in Ukraine. This requires management
to Ukraine to perform certain policy changes that will translate to a market economy
principles of operation.
