Abstract

The reasons that have reduced the role of tariffs in international trade regulation are investigated. The structure and extent of non-tariff measures, their impact on the trade relations between countries with different levels of economic development are analyzed.
Key words: non-tariff measures, technical barriers to trade, sanitary and phytosanitary standards, anti-dumping measures, the equivalent ad valorem tariff.
