The geopolitical interests of Russia in the area of "frozen conflicts" in the former Soviet space

Abstract

Analysis of the reasons and consequences of «frozen» conflicts in the post-Soviet space showed that the Russian Federation is the major geopolitical player in the former USSR. Conservation of the key figure status of the post-Soviet space will allow Russia to significantly limit European aspirations of the member countries of the European Union’s «Eastern Partnership» program.
