EUROPEAN BANKING GROUPS IN CEE COUNTRIES: EXPOSURE AND POST-CRISIS STRATEGY

Abstract

The article deals with consolidation in European banking and focuses on the
role of the Central and East European Countries (CEE) in this process. The author
defines the role of CEE in the activities of leading European banking groups in the
region and elaborates on changes of this role as a consequence of the world finan-
cial crisis.
