IS RUSSIA NATO MEMBERSHIP CAN BE POSSIBLE?

Abstract

Today very often the question about possibility of entering of Russian Federation
to NATO arises. There are many positive and negative aspects of this entering.
On the one hand it will accelerate transition of army to the professional basis, using
the best practices of the best armies of an alliance. On the other hand, it will deprive
the country’s possibility to carry out military policy independently. Thus it is possible
to tell, that this process will occupy a lot of time.
