Policy: purpose and objectives
The Actual Problems of International Relations (APIR) is an independent, peer-reviewed, open access research journal with no processing or submission charges published quarterly. Established by the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, the APIR journal is one of the leading international journals in the area of international relations in Ukraine.
The Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv was established in 1944 as a faculty of International Relations, re-organized in 1988 as an Institute and in 1992 re-named to the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Since 1995 the Institute of International Relations was recognized by the Decree of the President of Ukraine as the main training and methodical center for the preparation of specialists working in the field of international relations and foreign policy of Ukraine. Thus, the purpose of APIR journal is to highlight the results of empirical and theoretical studies of scientists and practitioners covering a broad range of the key issues in international relations, public and private international law, European law, human rights, peculiarities of the development of the world economy, socio-economic and innovative developments of foreign countries, international economic relations, international communications and international regional and country studies by Ukrainian and foreign scholars.
The articles can be submitted by academic, academic and teaching personnel or PhD students co-authored with a person obtaining a scientific degree in the field of political, legal or economic science.
