Abstract

Abstract. The analysis of scientific publications devoted to the internal threats and challenges
in the development of the national media spaces can be attributed to them: the internal
manipulative information-psychological influence, unlawful distribution of the information, and
the dissemination of illegal, harmful and unethical content.
In particular manipulative information-psychological influences are the result of the position
of the owners and the activities of the mass-media, due to the nature of modern media activity,
which is determined by the concentration, monopolization and commercialization of the massmedia.
Among the forms of unlawful dissemination of the information the most common now are violations
of copyright and related rights in information products, in particular piracy and plagiarism.
As for the distribution of illegal content, it is understood the particular one that has to
do to the national security, including the dissemination of the terrorist propaganda As for the distribution
judgmental, particularly unethical content, this problem is primarily associated with
the position of mass-media – journalists often take almost unlimited freedom of information,
spreading false data about the identity, insults to r address.
The emergence such threats and challenges in the development of national media spaces
leads not only to find new forms and means of countering them, but also to a rethinking of the
correlation of the principles of democracy including freedom of the mass-media, although the
need for control over their activities, improving the accountability of media to the society etc.
